For those desiring an extra dose of propulsion, Race Karts achieve speeds of up to 50 KPH thanks to a modified 13-horsepower engine mounted upon a lightweight chassis. As motorists break out of turns and seize passing opportunities through precision banana-peel drops, a ChronX automatic race monitor tracks the action by recording average speed, standings, and laps. Between races, aspiring Andrettis can glean tactics by observing from the insulated viewing area, which also houses two televisions playing SPEED channel.
New drivers are encouraged to watch Speedworld’s orientation video before heading to the track. Driver requirements, include a minimum height requirement of 4’10” to drive a Sprint Kart, and a minimum 16 years of age verified by a valid drivers’ licence to operate a Race Kart.
