Tauber Music
An independent music school boasting more than 30 years in Winnipeg, Tauber Music imbues patrons with melodic chops by pairing pupils with more than 80 qualified instructors at its six locations for one-on-one or group lessons. To help as many community members discover their inner Ozzy Osbourne as possible, the school outfits new students with free instrument rentals and discounts lessons for families. Several programs afford young musicians the chance to whisper to their chosen instrument, and a number of classes address the needs of adult beginners or teens preparing for the Royal Conservatory of Music exam. Pupils can opt to sample an instrument of their choice, such as the piano, drums, or violin, before fully committing to on-going lessons during a six-week aptitude course. A summer rock band program for teens culminates after eight rehearsals with a final concert and demands for bowls of M&M’S with all the brown ones removed.
