Today’s Groupon to Aerial Kiteboarding. Choose between the following options:
- For $35, you get a one-hour Introduction Kite lesson (a $70 value).
- For $80, you get a two-hour Kiteboarding Basics lesson (a $169 value).
While both lessons involve guidance on fundamental techniques in preparation for kiteboarding, no actual kiteboarding is included with this Groupon.
Led by certified instructors, Aerial Kiteboarding’s introductory and basic lessons imbue pupils with an understanding of proper handling to ride kites and kiteboards across the snow-blanketed prairie. During the one-hour introductory class, highly qualified instructors use two-line trainer kites to escort students through wind-safety strategies, basic steering and kite control, and snowman avoidance. Building on teachings imparted in intro classes, two-hour basics lessons pair teachers with novices for training that runs through quick-release and self-rescue drills and reviews two-line trainer and four-line power foil kite setups. These two-hour hands-on sessions also guide apprentice kiteboarders through steering, flight control, riding skills, and launching and landing methods.
Aerial Kiteboarding supplies all rentals and equipment for its classes and lessons, which run seven days a week depending on weather and the amount of reindeer air traffic. Lessons can take place in snow or without snow, and students may coordinate meet-ups with instructors at the store or directly at the training field. Buyers also get 30 per cent off future lessons booked within one week of lesson redemption.
