1. I bought this same deal at during the first half of April and have yet to see these painters show up. We have gone out of our way to set up a day for them to come and get the job done (taken work off) only to have them call last minute and say they aren’t coming or just not show up. I would advise everyone to stay away.

   1. I agree, this company is the absolute WORST to deal with. I bought a voucher on June 11 and have sent probably 20+ emails, left 10+ voicemails, spoken to the owner about 5 times and have yet to set up an appointment. Absolutely fed up and hope to get a refund!

2. Our experience has been exactly the same. This painter missed his appointment to come and do the estimate, didn’t reply to phone calls and emails, upcharged us for work that should have been included under the voucher then didn’t show up on the date he was to begin the work. When we finally contacted him, he apologized and said he’d contact us the next day to arrange a new time. He missed THAT commitment.

   Unless you ENJOY being frustrated, stay away from this guy. It’s only a deal if he’s actually going to do the work.

3. WE also purchased vouchers in April. He said he would come over to take a look and give us a quote for any additional work. That day came and he never showed. We called him and he sounded like he was asleep or hungover. He finally re-booked for a day in July. He was 3.5 hrs late!! We had a bedroom, laundry room and bathroom to get done. All small-medium sized rooms. He said he’d finish in a day. WRONG!! From the get-go, we had a bad feeling about this guy but we’ve already paid for these vouchers purchased off of “Teambuy.ca”… so we felt we had to use up these vouchers. To speed things up and to ensure some of the work was done right, we thought we would do most of the prep work before he came. We took off the base boards, patched and sanded any holes, stripped the bathroom, etc. Well… first day he was there from 9:30-1:30. He had one coat of ceiling paint done and some additional patch work. The rest of the time he was on the damn phone!! My husband caught him using stucco patch instead of drywall mud! AND the guy didn’t even have sand paper to sand it down! He left for lunch at 1:30. We told him we had an appointment so he had to back in time. He didn’t show up so we called him at 3pm. He said something came up with another job he had to take care of and instructed us to leave our key on the door step! Unbelievable! We told him to come back at 4:30. When he came back, he was in his normal clothing all showered and clean. He came back to say he was done for the day and would continue the job on Sunday. Well sunday came around and although he got more work done, he was slow and the paint job looked like we could’ve done better. Basically he did 2 ceilings and the first coat of 2 rooms – didn’t even begin on the 3rd room. He asked to come back on the monday to finish up but we both were very busy during the day but my husband said yes and rescheduled all his meetings and appointments. When he was done cleaning up, he asked if he can change that monday to a different day!! UNBELIEVABLE! My husband was so upset and told him we had to change our whole day around to accomodate him on Monday. We own our own business and own 2 dogs… so it costs us more money to have this guy here for every additional day (doggy day care cost $60 per day, for every day my husband is not at the business we loose). So do you know what this guy says to that? “Well then if it costs you money to have me here then you might as well do the job yourself”. We were shocked!! My husband replies “You did not just say that. Get the F*** off my property and never come back”. NEVER EVER HIRE THIS COMPANY!! The owner’s name is EMEKA. He is very unprofessional, rude, not very smart, always late, slow worker, always on the phone, doesn’t know how to run a business nor does he even know how to PAINT! We painted our guest room better then he did!! He put too much paint on his rollers which left drip marks. He is one of those guys you would see on an episode of “Holmes on Homes”. We’ve been screwed over and we don’t want anyone else to go through the same headache. STOP THIS GUY FROM SCAMMING ANYONE ELSE!!!!

4. I have had the exact same experience. I am now on my third “consultation” date because my teambuy voucher expired (a lie) and he got “the dates mixed up” on the first one. I have reported him to the better business bureau at this is an absolute joke and money grab and not living up to his commitments. He gets his money from teambuy and then takes off. I have been in contact with teambuy as well asking for a refund as I dont feel a credit should be issued because i have been chasing this company for over three months to fufill a commitement. What a joke!!

5. These guys don’t call back and finally have an appt, they cancelled and rescheduled, and didn’t show, I have all my furniture out of the room waiting since 0800 it is now 1315 and still no guys, they say they didn’t have me in the book?? Waited my whole day away so no happy!

6. Do not use this guy. I hired him to paint 2 rooms and included the paint myself despite the fact that his deal included it (I wanted a specific paint). He did a very poor job of trimming, didn’t prime either room and refused to do a second coat on one of the rooms despite primer PLUS 2 coats were included. There were drips that I had to fix and I had to add the second coat myself as you could of course still see the old paint through his one coat. And to top it off he left one can of paint in the room with the lid not hammered in so of course my 3 year old tipped it when we went into the room. Add a cost of a rug shampooer to the “deal”. I should have checked his work before he left. I even fed him lunch cause he seems like a very nice guy.

   This guy is completely incompetent and doesn’t fulfill his commitments. Shyster!

7. What a major disappointment, Got the room ready, furniture moved, took a day off work, waited patiently and no show! No call, no email, haven’t heard from Emika yet! Now he will not answer my calls, and his voicemail is full (Likely from other upset clients). All I can hope is that some people find this site and read the reviews before hiring this scoundrel.

   DO NOT HIRE LIGHT GREEN PAINTING AND RENOVATIONS!
