Each course available for play through this deal challenges golfers with unique features and terrain. At Kingswood Golf & Country Club, devious traps dot the first four holes, which span a quaint residential neighbourhood. Players skirt the La Salle River for the latter half of the course, launching the ball across its waters for the 8th hole and aiming at an island green to conquer the 18th.
Cottonwood Golf & Country Club tests swingers of all skill levels with three nine-hole courses named for different colours. The white course’s wider clearings can make for an engaging warm-up, though an abundance of traps, foliage, and heckling earthworms cautions golfers not to lower their guard. The aptly named blue course catches wayward balls in several bodies of water, including the impressive lake that dominates its last two holes. Finally, the red course rewards eyes keen enough to measure its tapered fairways.
Larters at St. Andrews Golf & Country Club demands precision rather than lengthy shots on its course, one of customers’ two options for their third game. Visitors to its prairie-river environs must heed woodland obstacles such as the 14th hole’s bordering oak trees. The signature fourth hole bookends the fairway with water and out-of-bounds areas, which continue to challenge shots to the green.
Alternatively, customers can take to the verdant, rolling greens of The Meadows at East St. Paul Golf Course for their final 18-hole round. The “prairie links” setting was a farmer’s field before designers shaped patches of fescue and rye grass to form its holes, carving bunkers and water hazards along the way. The sixth hole is its signature par 3, where the staff seasonally retrieves more than 15,000 balls and 50 treading caddies from a nearby lake.
