You’d be hard-pressed to find a spot in Ontario better suited to fishing than Trapper’s Point Camp. The property sits on the north end of Sturgeon Lake, which is fed by the fast-flowing Trout Creek and inhabited by schools of walleye. Anglers can maneuver their boats around the lake’s bays and islands, or hug the shoreline in search of northern pike and lake trout. Included with each stay is use of the boat dock and launch as well as the indoor fish-cleaning house, which is outfitted with running water, wrapping paper, and two chest freezers to preserve the catch of the day.

Fishing guides and camp hosts Bob and Scott Snider are on hand to pass out lake maps, guide fishing excursions, or demonstrate angling techniques; they’ve been hunting, fishing, and playing canasta with Bigfoot in the surrounding area for the past 25 years.
