When not in the gym, Advantage Conditioning’s co-owner, Marty Shumka, acts as a health consultant to corporations, hosts a weekly exercise show on Shaw TV, and makes guest appearances on Breakfast Television. He is sought after for both his knowledge of fitness and exercise trends and his proven success at his own gym.
Leading a team of professional trainers, he and co-founder Lindsay Jurkowski personalize workouts. They travel to clients’ homes or offices for personal sessions or lead small, tight-knit groups of encouraging peers through rigorous boot camps in the studio. Exercisers who prefer to go it alone can cycle through Advantage Conditioning’s ample stock of free weights, resistance bands, and strength and cardio machines. The facility also addresses injuries sustained from playing sports or MMA-fighting a rival mascot with athletic-therapy treatments that involve massage and electric muscle stimulation.
